If you Powerpoint or Keynote presentations when pitching to your prospects then why not embed a presentation into your LinkedIn profile?
It’s pretty easy to do and can be a great way to differentiate your profile from competitors.
Firstly you will need to create a free Slideshare account at Slideshare.net, then follow the instruction in this short video I made for you;
Keep it short
You may use longer presentations in sales meetings but I would advise using a cut down version of the presentation in your LinkedIn profile. When we view things on a webpage we are much less likely to spend much time looking through lots of slides. Try to keep it to c5 slides that make the most important points.
Make it stand out
You will notice that your first slide is the one that shows in your profile so it is good practice to ensure your first slide uses bright colours and large font as it only appears as a thumbnail in your profile.
You can add presentations (and other media) into the Summary, Experience and Education sections of your profile.
Did you find this useful? I have plenty more tips & tricksĀ like this up my sleeve!
Feel free to post a link to your profile in the comments below and I will take a look and let you know what I think.
