If I had a Pound/Dollar/Euro etc for every time a LinkedIn user said this to me about a LinkedIn invitation, I would be a very rich man by now! This may not be something you would say, it might not bother you at all and to be honest, it doesn’t really bother me either but that is not the point. There are clearly many LinkedIn users, people you will want to connect with, who will not accept invitations unless they are customized.

The problem is that at least 50% of us are using mobile apps to access LinkedIn and when you tap on the blue ‘connect’ links you see on mobile apps you do not get the opportunity to customize the message.
